Your story matters to us — and so does your privacy. At SongUnique, we understand that when you share a personal story about someone you love, you're trusting us with something deeply meaningful. This policy explains exactly how we handle your information, in plain language.

The Short Version

We never sell your personal stories or information. Period.
Your story is used only to create your custom song — nothing else.
We delete your story data upon request at any time.
We don't share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Our musicians sign confidentiality agreements.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for one purpose: to create and deliver the best possible custom song for you.

Specifically:

Creating your song — Your story is shared only with the musician(s) assigned to your order
Communicating with you — Order updates, revision requests, delivery
Processing payment — Through our secure payment partner (Stripe)
Improving our service — Anonymous, aggregated data only (never your personal story)

What We Will NEVER Do

Sell your personal information to anyone
Share your story with advertisers or data brokers
Use your personal story for marketing without your explicit written consent
Send your information to AI training datasets
Share your story publicly in any form

How We Protect Your Story

We know your story is personal. Here's how we keep it safe:

Musician confidentiality — Every musician who works with SongUnique signs a confidentiality agreement. They are contractually prohibited from sharing, copying, or discussing your story outside of creating your song.
Encrypted transmission — All data between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL (the same technology banks use).
Secure storage — Your story and personal data are stored on encrypted servers with restricted access.
Limited access — Only the musician(s) working on your specific order and our support team can see your story details.
No unnecessary retention — We automatically delete story details 12 months after song delivery. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Your Rights — You're in Control

You have full control over your personal information:

Third Parties We Work With

We only share the minimum necessary information with trusted partners who help us deliver your song:

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
