Welcome to SongUnique! These terms govern your use of our website (songunique.com) and our custom song creation service. We've written these in clear language so you know exactly what to expect.
SongUnique creates original, custom songs performed by real musicians based on your personal story. When you place an order, here's what happens:
- You share your story and preferences with us
- We match you with a talented musician
- The musician creates an original song just for you
- We deliver the finished song to you digitally
- If anything isn't right, we revise it (see our Refund & Satisfaction Guarantee)
When you place an order, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your story
- Pay the listed price for your selected package
- Respond to any questions from our team to help create the best song possible
Pricing: All prices are listed in USD and include the creation and digital delivery of your custom song. Add-on services (rush delivery, additional instruments, extended length) are priced separately and clearly shown before you pay.
Delivery timeline: Standard orders are delivered within 7 business days. Rush delivery options are available at checkout. If we can't meet the delivery deadline, you're entitled to a full refund — see our Refund & Satisfaction Guarantee.
- Your story remains yours. The personal details, memories, and information you share with us to create your song belong to you.
- You can request deletion of your story data at any time after your song is delivered. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Permission to create your song — By submitting your story and preferences, you give us permission to share these details with the musician(s) assigned to your order, solely for the purpose of creating your custom song.
- Confidentiality — We treat your story as confidential. Our musicians sign confidentiality agreements.
- If you choose to leave a review or testimonial, we may display it on our website or marketing materials with the name you provide.
- We will never use your personal story in marketing without asking you first. If we'd like to feature your song or story (for example, as a customer spotlight), we will contact you and request your explicit written permission. You can say no, and it won't affect your service in any way.
- Personal use license — You receive a perpetual, worldwide license to use your custom song for any personal, non-commercial purpose. Play it at a wedding, share it with family, post it on social media, make it a ringtone — it's yours to enjoy.
- Digital delivery — You receive high-quality digital audio files of your song.
- Musical composition rights — SongUnique and the performing musician(s) retain the copyright to the musical composition and recording. This is standard in the music industry and allows us to:
- Ensure quality control
- Handle any copyright disputes on your behalf
- Continue operating our service
- You can: Play your song anywhere, share it with friends and family, post it on social media, use it in personal videos, give it as a gift
- You cannot: Sell your song commercially, license it to others for profit, or claim you wrote/produced it
- We will not: Sell your song to anyone else, release it commercially, or use it in ways that would embarrass or harm you
If you need commercial usage rights (for a business video, podcast, etc.), contact us — we offer commercial licenses at reasonable rates.
- All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest level of security certification).
- We never see or store your full credit card number.
- All transactions are encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL.
- Prices are charged in USD. Your bank may apply currency conversion fees for non-USD cards.
We offer free revisions and fair refund terms because we want you to love your song. Full details are in our Refund & Satisfaction Guarantee.

- One person per account — please don't share accounts.
Please don't use our service to:
- Create songs containing hate speech, threats, or harassment
- Infringe on anyone else's intellectual property
- Impersonate another person
- Create content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders that violate these guidelines, with a full refund.
While we put our heart into every song, we want to be upfront about our limits:
- Our maximum liability for any claim related to our service is limited to the amount you paid for your order. This means if something goes wrong, you'll get your money back — but we can't be responsible for indirect damages beyond that.
- We do our best to deliver on time and to your satisfaction, but we can't guarantee that our service will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times. (We're human, after all.)
- Music is subjective — while we always aim to create something you'll love, we can't guarantee a specific emotional reaction. That's why we offer free revisions.
If you have a problem with your order:
- Contact us first at support@songunique.com — most issues can be resolved quickly
- If we can't resolve it directly, we agree to attempt mediation before any legal action
- These terms are governed by the laws of the United States
We believe in fair resolution. We won't hide behind legal fine print — if we made a mistake, we'll own it and fix it.
- We may update these terms from time to time.
- Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
- Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
- We will never make changes that retroactively reduce your rights on an existing order.
